So, which of these products should budget-friendly gadget shoppers pick up this holiday season? There seems little doubt that the Kindle Fire will prove one of the holiday season’s biggest hits. At 0, the budget tablet will no doubt prove too good a deal to pass up for many consumers not ready to make the price commitment to the industry-leading iPad or a top-tier Android tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Of course, the Fire wasn’t the only budget Android tablet to launch this week — heck, it wasn’t even the only budget Android tablet launched by an e-reader producer. Question by Htown/Philly4life: I got jumped from behind on the way too my apartments from the gas station yesterday what should I do?
I’m from houston texas and I lived there for 28 years and now I live in my own apartment that are peaceful and quiet in danville va,right next to the projects basically called woodside.I lived here in danville va for 2 years at hunters run,I usually listen to music on my android 4G powered phone while walking.Yesterday I went to the gas station to buy a couple of soda’s and I was halfway to the property where my apartments are and next thing I know I get sacked from behind to the pavement by this buff dark skinded guy from woodside who looked like he was maybe in his late teens,I’m looking at him in his face while he’s saying “gimme your phone” which was in my pocket.I’m 31 years but look 15 years old because of growth hormone deficiency and I was yelling help at the top of my lungs and the good thing was there 2 cars going each way and they both stopped and the dude got off of my and ran without my phone in his possession and this lady in 1 car dropped me off to the rental office and I told my landlord what happened while crying and she called the danville police department and they talked too me asking if I could give them a description which I couldnt because it happened so fast and now I’m scared to leave the property and walk past woodside,I talked to all my so called family that really didn’t sound concerned whatsoever and it seems like there just saying “I told you so”and I’ve been upset all day and not answering the phone

Question by Trisha C: Verizon 4G pricing plans?
Hello. I am a long-time VZW customer & am in the process of “upgrading.” This will be the 1st smartphone I will buy & I’m really sold on the Android 4G smartphones. Currenlty, I’m on the unlimited data package (3G one). Question is this: If I buy a 4G capable smartphone (I live in Los Angeles & we do have 4G service here), will I have a data cap & will I pay higher? Are the 4G data plans from VZW different from their “3G unlimited data packages?” There really isn’t anything on this from their website. All it says in their Droid Charge phone info pg. is “4G plan pricing on this phone.”

Thanks in advance. I know there are a lot of Verizon customer workers/helpers out here in Yahoo!Answers that might help a very pleased VZW customer

For starters, let’s talk build.

It WAS a stock NookCOLOR Ver. 1.1.0
Then it was rooted using TheUnlockr.com’s method, located here: http://theunlockr.com/2011/02/05/how-to-root-the-nook-color-autonooter-method/
After rooting the NookCOLOR it was flashed with Android’s Honeycomb OS v4. using, again, TheUnlockr.com method located here: http://theunlockr.com/2011/02/10/how-to-flash-honeycomb-w-the-android-market-onto-the-internal-memory-of-the-nook-color/

Everything was working just fine, I was logged into Talk, GMail, and the Market. I downloaded Angry Birds successfully. I went to download the Kindle app, Nook app, and I paid for Manga Watcher. These did not download.

After downloading Angry Birds I believe I played it, shut the NookCOLOR off and turned it back on before proceeding to download the other apps. (This may be a cause.)

Now Talk will not sign in, thus Market will not download my approved or purchased apps.

I’ve tried many of the solutions on the Android forums and Google forums. I’ve tried the hard reboot, the change from @gmail.com -> @googlemail.com, the removal of gmail account and re-input (wouldn’t let me delete gmail account, said apps needed it to run. So still an option if able to achieve suitable outcome.)

I don’t wanna re-flash the “Tablet”, but will only as a last resort. That is if all else fails…

Restore it to factory settings and then go buy a Micro SD card from this site, www.Nook2Android.com.

The SD cards root your Nook legally and do not void the warranty.

They also have the marketplace and several other apps already installed, such as Angry Birds, Words with Friends, Pandora, Netflix, Facebook, etc.
